I had my tubes tied 16 years ago after I gave birth to my son. I was told that due to my medical condition that it would be too risky to get pregnant again--I was young, living in Hawaii, and thousands of miles away from my family. I was scared so I had the procedure done. In 1996 I met my current husband. I told him that I could no longer have any more children, and we both accepted that. In 2002 things had changed and we both wanted a child together. I went to the doctors in regardless to my kidney condition and had several test., and then consulted with the genetic doctors. We were told that they could now treat and follow my condition very closely and there was a 50% chance my child would be born with the same condition. My husband and I decided that those were good odds and we wanted to move forward. When the doctor reversed my tubes he found that my tubes had been severely damaged (according to him) and that he was not able to do the procedure. He informed us of this information later, and stated that we would need to do "IVF" if we wanted any chance of conceiving, because my tubes were tied and we had to pay for the "IVF" and because of my kidney condition they would only transfer 2 eggs to reduce the chance of twins. In 2003 after saving $10,000.00 we were ready to start treatment. We had one fresh cycle and 2 frozen cycles costing an additional $6000.00 with no results. The "IVF" was very emotional, lengthy, costly, and painful and very time consuming. I would never recommend "IVF" to anyone if they have there tubes tied. After all the emotional stress and financial debt with no results we decided to take a break. In 2004 I was desperate. I told my husband I won't give up until I find a doctor to reverse my tubes. I felt like I needed that opportunity to have them reversed. I didn't want to grow older wondering if I would have had an opportunity to get pregnant 1 more time. I started researching the internet desperately looking for a doctor out there that could help. I found 3 doctors, and my heart and gut feeling was going with Lakeshore Surgical Center and Dr Greene. I called and got the information the price was right and we decided to give it the only chance we had left. Everyone there was great and extremely friendly. Dr Greene was very confident that he could reverse my tubes successfully. I had my procedure on 2/22/2005. My husbands tell me that Dr Greene came out looking exhausted and it took a little longer than expected, but my tubes were together one side was only 5cm length not very long and the other side looked a little better. Dr Greene said they were together and they were "Going to be happy together". Dr Greene was right! I found out I was pregnant on 7/30/2005 approximately six months later. All the doctors over here were surprised. They were even more surprised when they did the ultrasound and it was a viable pregnancy. I'm now 5 months pregnant anxiously awaiting the birth of my baby boy!!! My husband and I owe this miracle to Dr Greene without his knowledge and expertise we would not be pregnant right now. Thank you for this miracle.

Our Policy on Testimonials
We do not ever release patient′s names. We feel you should have control over your medical decisions and information. We want you to know that we will never ask that of you. The tubal ligation reversal testimonials on our website are the words of the patients themselves we don′t change them except when they name their husband or something else that would give away their identity. In 32 years of surgery I have had a lot of patients that were kind enough to write a note of thanks and I never have had any message that was more than several sentences. People just don′t write long involved notes like I see on some websites.
