In 2023, I was told left and right by clinics in Seattle, where I live, that I was not a good candidate for tubal reversal surgery. I had the complication of having had the Essure procedure done back in 2010. The procedure hadn’t worked for one of my tubes though so I had that tube tied via other means. I was being told that it wasn’t possible despite tests showing it was and my OB provider saying it should be possible. I was told that I needed to do IVF. This was despite repeatedly telling providers that our faith does not allow for IVF and our desire to try to have a child naturally. As a last-ditch effort in 2024, I explored options out of state. I found Lakeshore and discussed options with them. I was shocked to finally hear a “yes” from a provider! Yes, it would be possible. Dr. Greene was the most respectful, knowledgeable, and compassionate provider I have ever worked with. The staff at Lakeshore went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed and comfortable. They have a great system where I was set up with a hotel room and everything we needed to navigate the process of getting my tubal reversal procedure done. They know what they are doing and do it well. The procedure itself went off without a hitch, and I was able to travel back home the next day.

I healed up well and had a wonderful nurse assigned to me who helped monitor me while I healed and while we tried to get pregnant. It was successful (first try!), and we have gotten to welcome our baby boy into our family and hearts in February. Exactly 1 year after the surgery! We have felt so blessed and lucky for our little miracle and for the wonderful medical care I got at Lakeshore. Now we even have the option of trying for another baby!
