Dr. Wendell Turner
Dr. William Greene, Jr., M.D. has a degree in chemistry from the University of Florida, a medical degree from the University of Miami, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital. Dr. Greene’s postgraduate training in microsurgery was done at the department of plastic surgery at M.D. Anderson hospital in Houston, Texas and the Moet Institute in San Fransisco.
Dr. Greene is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Additionally, he was on the board of directors of the Georgia Ob-Gyn Society and on the physician’s advisory council for the Department of Family and Children’s Services for the State of Georgia.
Dr. Wendell A. Turner received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Georgia Tech, his M.D. from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Procedure & Technique
If you decide to come to Lakeshore Tubal Reversal Center for outpatient tubal ligation reversal, we ask that you come the afternoon of the day before your surgery so you can meet our staff and get the necessary lab and paperwork out of the way. You can ask all the questions you want and tour our facility so you feel more at home the next day.
The morning of your tubal ligation reversal you will meet with anesthesia and talk about any concerns you have. At Lakeshore Tubal Reversal Center, we use only general anesthesia for our patients.
Our physicians believe that the key to successful tubal ligation reversal is careful surgical technique – taking each layer as it comes, controlling even small amounts of bleeding, keeping the tissues moist and using very small sutures. Each layer receives a local anesthetic to make you more comfortable when you are recovering.
When your surgery is finished, we will keep you in our center until you think you are ready to leave. This usually takes an hour. We will then see you the next morning to make sure you’re okay and will continue to call you at home during your recovery and from time to time after that.
